Internet is the best place to find information about cruising people, cruising catamarans or cruising tips. You will find below some of my favourite websites…
The LOG or Lagoon Owner Group is the only site where you can find more than 13 000 posts concerning good and bad experiences of Lagoon owners.
One of the best blogs concerning life onboard while cruising is that of Livia Gilstrap, a real sailor who already has sailed for one year along the west coast of America. The blog (http://interviewwithacruiser.blogspot.com) takes the shape of an interview with 10 questions to cruisers with at least a 2 year cruising experience on their boat.
Boating often is presented as a man’s passion but as we all know, there is most of the times a woman pulling the strings behind every man! http://www.womenandcruising.com/ shows all sailors (especially men) that women can be more than just a cook onboard.
Last but not least, try this link: http://lagooncatamarans.org is not a true website with cruising information but a “map website”! You can find a map showing the positions of Lagoons, their routes and the details of their owners so as to contact them. You can also find an AIS map to follow a boat, a Lagoon maintenance wiki (owners inputs concerning the maintenance of their Lagoon listed by themes) and a catamarans friendly marina / anchorage database. It’s a real socializing tool for Lagoon owners!
And by the way, what are your favorite websites?
