The multihull international boat show is coming ! The opening day of this strictly for multihulls boat show is the 18th of April unitl the 22nd of April at Lorient in France, and the Lagoons 400, 421, 450 and 560 will be exhibited there.
As it takes a lot of time to organize our stand and boats, I wanted to write only a small post. Let me ask you this question, coming from Loïc, our Caribbean sales manager:
Do you know why this Lagoon 440 in the “Le Marin” harbour in Martinique has such a strange attitude?
The answer is maintenance! Indeed, because it is very expensive and not necessarily useful to rent a crane for the service, the charter company Regis Guillemot uses a balloon to do the saildrive maintenance of their catamarans. They fill the balloon with air thanks to a vacuum cleaner and then place it under the bridgedeck of the catamaran to lift her. The catamaran is lashed to the pontoon and so you can reach the saildrive and stay dry! This equipment costs several thousands euros but I am sure that Régis will rent it to you if you need it!
